**As a belated 2015 New Years Resolution, I decided I would write a daily (or, almost daily, I know some days I just won’t be able to find the time) blog answering a thought provoking question from a long list of questions I found here in a quest of self exploration.
Today’s Chosen Question :
Which activities make you lose track of time?
Pretty much everything I’ve been doing lately… lol. Writing – I can tell myself I will write for an hour or two but then four or five hours go by and it feels like they simply dissolved. Netflix marathons are treacherous, you tell yourself you’ll watch one or two episodes but then you just can’t stop and goodbye, time!
My favorite thing at the moment though is my new job, its crazy that I finally have a job where I like what I’m doing enough that I’m not constantly looking at my watch waiting for the countdown to the end of my workday. Loving what you get paid for is pretty much the biggest accomplishment one can hope for in a world like this and to have finally achieved it is a ridiculous blessing. Thats what I take away from a question like this, and if you aren’t loving what you do, why do you do it? I get that everyone needs a paycheck and to make a living but you should strive to make your life meaningful, and not meaningful according to anyone else or by anyone else’s values, but meaningful to YOU, to your soul. Find out what makes you feel alive and where you fit and stop at nothing to surround yourself with those things.
