*As a belated 2015 New Years Resolution, I decided I would write a daily (or, almost daily, I know some days I just won’t be able to find the time) blog answering a thought provoking question from a long list of questions I found here in a quest of self exploration.
Today’s Chosen Question :
Would you break the law to save a loved one?
This is too vague!!!! I mean what kind of law are we talking about here, like, would I steal a candy bar from a grocery store if a doctor would release a cancer cure if a loved one was dying or are we talking like, would I murder a transient to – haha see i can’t even imagine a scenario where I would ever be faced with the decision to do or not to do something like that in order to save a loved one from -insert some type of life-threatening or wellness-threatening scenario here.-
For those of you who would roll your eyes at my insistence that semantics in a question like this do matter, I will attempt to take a more generalized approach. If I was asked to do something that went against my own moral compass in order to save a loved one, the stipulation would HAVE to be that no one got hurt/no ones lives got messed with because of it. I don’t really ever see hurting someone else as the solution to another persons problems. Without a more specific example to go by I really can’t give a more specific answer than that. My loves ones mean a lot to me, but that doesn’t mean that others have less value than they do.
