DailyBlog : Does Karma Help or Hurt

** Special March announcement, this month saw the publication of the very first book in a six novella dystopian series I’ve been working on since early 2015. “Dark World : The Surface Girl” only $0.99 on kindle, or FREE if you’re a part of Kindle Unlimited! Check it out!

For the sake of blogging and self-exploration and contemplation, I answer a question a day off of this list.

Today’s question : If it all came back around to you, would it help you or hurt you?

First of all, I’m going to remove the “if” from this question as I answer because I firmly believe what goes around comes around, that you get what you give, etc.

I think most people have a good mixture of both. Everyone makes mistakes and makes bad decisions occasionally. I don’t think anyone should be judged by their bad choices, but I think what really tips the scale is what you do about them. In my opinion and experiences, the more you run from your mistakes, the harder you fight against taking responsibility for them, the harder karma is going to kick you in the ass. On the other side of things, when you turn your back on negativity and focus on being a good person, the world around you naturally adapts and suddenly good things will start falling into your lap. IMO, that’s the natural order/karma doing it’s groove thang; restoring the balance. I’ve definitely been kicked in the ass by karma, but I’ve also experienced karma really working hard to make life up to me when I’ve been put through torture far worse than I actually deserved. I think most people have been both kicked, as well as given a hand up, by karma in their life. It’s sort of a checkmate, a guide, it tells us if we’re fucking up or being decent human beings and life is always a journey of both.

One response to “DailyBlog : Does Karma Help or Hurt”

  1. I agree that it’s how you respond to your mistakes – whether you own up to them or not – that really matters. I have so much respect for people who take responsibility and either apologize or amend a situation, as opposed to denying and blaming others. I think some people are terrified of guilt.
