** The first two books in my six part dystopian series have officially made their way out into the world! Check them out!
For the sake of blogging and self-exploration and contemplation, I’ve been slowly making my way through answering questions from this list.
Today’s question: What sustains you on a daily basis?
The simple, authentic things sustain me on a daily basis. I shut outside influences out of my mind and I focus on the things that make me my most authentic self. I spend a lot of time with my animals every day, it’s necessary for my mental health as it lowers my stress, and, to be honest, I admire them for living in the moment and never worrying about the future, or what other people think, or anything else of that nature. There are so many things we mere humans can learn from how animals behave and treat each other.
I take care of my “adulting responsibilities” so that I have nothing to stress over, but I also do whatever I fancy in any given day after work after said responsibilities are taken care of; whether it be doing something with a friend, reading, writing, crafting, exploring. I try to “live in the moment” and listen to my inner voice. It’s easy to get bogged down by outside influences, but when you learn to put them secondary to doing things that make you happy (and learning that what makes you happy should never depend on anyone else in any way), you not only sustain yourself on a daily basis, but you can find some authentic joy in every day, as well. 🙂
