** The first two books in my six part dystopian series have officially made their way out into the world! Check them out!
For the sake of blogging and self-exploration and contemplation, I’ve been slowly making my way through answering questions from this list.
Today’s question : What is the meaning of ‘peace’ to you?
I feel like I’ve actually discussed this a lot in previous blogs, but here we go again :).
Peace, to me, is contentment in knowing that you have a place and a purpose and that you’re doing your best to abide by that. It’s not always getting everything you want, in fact, to find peace sometimes you need to let go of things you want, because even if you want something, maybe it’s just not fitting your particular place in the world. Life shouldn’t be a constant never-ending struggles. It’s true that we’ll come across challenges all the time, but every day shoudn’t feel like you’re fighting a war. If your life feels like that, you’re fighting against the very things that will bring you peace. Forget pride. Forget who might feel like they “win” if you let something go (in the end, YOU win, anyway, when life brings you good karma) and just listen to your heart and not your desires. If something feels right, embrace it. If you feel like you can handle your struggles, if you feel like you can predict your days on a basic level, if you feel general contentment and if your heart tells you that you’re doing the right things for yourself, you’ve found peace.
