I work full-time. I’m a single mother of 6 crazy furkids, and I’m desperately trying to finish the third book my #dystopian Dark World Series. I had every intention of skipping NaNoWriMo this year, but I’ve had another series on the backburner for about a year and a half, and I figured this would a good way to at least get it started. I knew when I made the descision to participate that I had no chance of hitting the general “50k words” goal, and that’s fine. If I managed at least 20-30k, I would be satisfied.
Today is November 7 and its been exactly one week since November began. Today I surpassed 8k words for my new WIP and I couldn’t be happier with the progress I’ve made with it so far. The prose is awful, I’m probably going to have to go back and restructure almost every single sentence, but I’m getting the story down and that’s what’s important.
