For the sake of blogging and self-exploration and contemplation, I’ve been slowly making my way through answering questions from this list
Today’s Question : What makes a person beautiful?
Let me just start off by saying that anyone who automatically begins answering this question with anything physical is probably not someone I’d want to spend time with. You can argue all you want about symmetry and how we’re innately attracted to certain features for breeding purposes, yada yada yada, but even if that’s true, it doesn’t correlate (or at least, in my opinion, it shouldn’t) with the word “beautiful.”
Cliche as it may be, a beautiful person is simply someone whose good nature is apparent upon first glance. Not your physical features, but your demeanor, your vibe. My curiosity about someone is always piqued by their vibe and not their appearance; you can just tell a soft heart and a kind soul by how they speak, how they carry themselves, how they treat others in even the most subtle ways. What makes a person beautiful, to me, is someone who enthralls simply by being a kind and giving person, someone whom I meet and then hope I get to see again.
