*** The first three books in my six-part dystopian series have officially made their way out into the world! Check them out!
For the sake of blogging, self-exploration, and contemplation, I’ve been slowly making my way through answering questions from this list
Today’s Question: For you personally, what makes today worth living?
As cliche and uninteresting as it might sound, it’s the little things. I have a good group of friends in my life. I have a houseful of pets; my own plus foster pets, that need me. I have personal goals (novel deadlines, etc) that I try and strive for. A laundry list of books that I can’t wait to read. A horse (and horse-friends) to spend time with on the weekends.
I don’t look to the future much unless you count my personal goals. I’ve learned to just appreciate specific moments throughout the day. Something someone says to me that causes me to burst out laughing. A good cup of coffee. My pets being ridiculously cute. Interesting true-crime documentaries or a movie that is actually written and directed well. (Rare, but the occasional gem does happen!)
Every moment of peace is a small victory and makes said moment worthwhile to experience. Not every moment during the day will be a great one. Anxiety happens. Doubt happens. Sadness happens. Those emotions are unavoidable to me, which is why the good moments are so important to recognize and find worth in.
