*** The first three books in my six-part dystopian series have officially made their way out into the world! Check them out!
For the sake of blogging, self-exploration, and contemplation, I’ve been slowly making my way through answering questions from this list
Today’s Question: What is your earliest childhood memory?
I think I was about two years old. I was left in the care of a family friend, Cathy, and her family. I was sitting up in my crib, either at “nap time” or maybe at night, I’m not sure, but I look at the wall and see a scary, crawly, thing. (A spider.) It was looking at me, or I thought it was, and it’s tiny eight eyes were scary. I started crying. No one came. I started crying louder because when you’re a toddler and you need someone to help you, that’s what you do. The spider started moving. I don’t remember which way it was crawling, but it was right next to one of the crib bars and of course I was convinced that it was coming to eat me. I don’t remember how that scary-bad situation ended, I just remember crying and no one coming to save me (apparently I was emotionally dramatic even at two, lol.)
Maybe that was the start of my abandonment issues? Lol.
