For the sake of blogging, self-exploration, and contemplation, I’ve been slowly making my way through answering questions from this list
Today’s Question: What was your last major accomplishment?
For years, I’ve had ideas for different series’ in my head. Back in 2016 I started my journey with the Dark World Series, but other ideas have had to be put on the back-burner because in addition to my writing journey, I work full-time, I have tons of pets and foster pets that need a lot of daily care, a horse that needs regular attention and exercise, and friends that I need to spend time with. There are only so many hours in a day!
One of my ideas I knew would work best as serialized fiction, but as there are limited types of publishing opportunities for that style of writing these days, it was on the back-burner not only due to my limited time, but also because I needed to come across the perfect type of situation in which I felt comfortable publishing it. Amazon recently launched an awesome new serialized fiction platform called Kindle Vella, and it perked my interest and felt like the right situation for this new series. I got my series approved there, and I’ve officially began its creation!
The past few years I haven’t been able to do much writing, so much has happened that I just lost my mojo for a while. So, I suppose, my “last major accomplishment” is not only getting back into it, but also being approved to participate in a unique publishing opportunity that seems like its just the right fit for my new series! Yay!
