For the sake of blogging, self-exploration, and contemplation, I’ve been slowly making my way through answering questions from this list
Today’s Question: What is your favorite song and why?
Hotel California. Yes, I know the song is about Hell, but I’ve still interpreted it differently many times throughout the years depending on what was going on in my own life. It’s one of those songs that you can really get lost in and you can “make it your own” every time you hear it. It’s difficult for me to put into words why this song tends to feel so powerful to me, but if I’m having an emotional day, good or bad, dimming the lights, lighting a few candles, playing this song and closing my eyes takes my mind to a ship at sea. Perhaps it’s the guitar solos, or the rhythm, but it really strikes me every single time.
